Twiddling my fingers...

I have been twiddling my fingers for the past month trying to figure out the best way of increasing my net daily earnings. I am into my fifth month now and I am still a long way to go before breaking even. Now I cannot even remember if I infused fresh capitalization on top of the $209 I shelled out during my first 2 months.

Whatever the figure might be, here are some things that I am trying to muse over:
  1. Rented referrals are human beings who bleed if they're cut.
  2. Rented referrals, being human beings, have unpredictable clicking patterns.
  3. Recycling referrals tends to steady the total daily clicks at a certain average. Sometimes, the daily clicks even tend to increase. Sometimes.
  4. Recycling is expensive. The expense is a factor of how many rented referrals you currently have.
  5. Rented referrals expire after 30 days. (Or is it 31?)
  6. Direct referrals do not require monthly maintenance cost.
  7. Every day, the fixed cost for rented referrals is $0.008 (for somebody like me with 1200+ rented refs)
  8. If autopay is turned on, referrals with at least 20 remaining days before expiry who clicked at least 1 ad on that day gets extended for another day. Autopay costs about $0.007++ (I'm not sure about the exact amount).
  9. Renewing rented referrals for another 30 days costs $0.24 (in my case).
  10. Rented referrals who did not click for 14 consecutive days are automatically replaced FOR FREE by NeoBux.
  11. I earn $0.01/click from my referrals.
  12. I need to click at least 9 ads per day to earn from my referrals' clicks.
  13. I have established sometime ago that I need to get an average of 1.47 referral clicks daily to earn. Below that, it is likely that I lost money for that day.
  14. etc...
These and other observations which I was not able jot down led to certain conclusions and therefore new approaches to my life as a NeoBuxer.

So, if you are wondering why I am not posting snaphots of my graphs lately, it is because the images would certainly surprise you. The graphs are not for the uninitiated. :)

Snapshots from 2008

I have been 'very busy' these past weeks primarily with tennis and with other things that is why I was kept silent and was not able to do any more strategizing than I used to have and shared with those who got interested in this little blog. Nothing to apologize for, I think, because I did not make any promises of constant stream of blog articles with tips and instructions. :)

Well, if you are one of those who followed the tips I mentioned in my later articles, I hope that my tips worked for you as they did for me. hehe

The image above shows my account summary as of 6:45EST today. The rented referral clicks is not a pretty site, I should say. Expectedly so! I was not consistently doing the recycling and renewing that I used to do before. It seems to me that the only way to have a steady trend, be it horizontal (or constant clicks rate - which is quite impossible to achieve), or either descending or ascending, is to have a consistent recycling and renewing routine. I still have 5 more hours to go and my clicks already hovers around the 900s so I am quite sure that I would hit my minimum total click target average of 1.3/ref. If you have been following my little blog, I mentioned before that I would need at least 1.3 click average per referral in order to earn. My target average is just 1.8/referral.

If you look at the renewal and recycling charts above, you would see that there was not much happening towards the end of last year. I only started recycling early this week and I will be renewing today. I have several rented referrals who have less than 10 days more before expiry.

Exciting times!

The image to the left shows my luck with renting referrals. If you are a neobux user, I am sure you have heard (or experienced if you are a golden member) how hard it is to rent referrals once you are a golden member already. It is a race, actually! You compete with thousands of other guys who happen to have the same renting time as yours. Quite sad, but I failed twice after November 4 so I was forced to use the rental queue on December 3. That was after a month of waiting and trying! Terrible. Then a week later I was lucky to get my next 100.

Renting is really a challenge and so I thought about it and figured there must be a way to increase my chances.

And there is!

A day before Christmas and a day after New Year were bullseye. Renting was never any easier! Two confirmations of a new found renting technique. I shared it with a close friend who happened to be my only remaining active referral and he was successful in his first attempt using my renting technique.

Now this is an even more exciting time, isn't it?

We have two chances at renting per day for 4 days straight starting on Wednesdays. That's a total of 8 attempts! Either I am really slow or something is really hindering me from getting my next 100 if I fail in all of the 8 attempts.

Now, here are my cashouts. I have invested a total of $209 and so far I have recovered less than half of that amount. My immediate goal now is to fully recover my total investments and then start earning.

So there it is! Some snapshots for 2008.

If you wish to comment, feel free. I do not (yet) screen the comments because I have not received any flak as yet. So please keep your flaming arrows to yourself, if you have any. hehe

And, please check out the related articles. You might find useful information there that can push your neobux earnings forward and up. We both have the same objective, I suppose, which is of course to earn from NeoBux. Share your experiences with me, if you will.

Balancing Act

I am doing a balancing act between recycling/renewing referrals and saving for cashouts. I am into my third month and so far I have only recovered around $40+ of my $209 total investment.

Unlike the previous week where I had a relatively linear referral click trend, this week my trend oscillates predictably. What is good, however, is that the oscillation hovers above the 1000s. That was my ultimate goal and I am fortunate enough that my recent method of recycling is paying dividends. I shall be using this newly crafted recycling/renewing method until such time that results will not be good anymore. I must say, though, that I am still 0.2 clicks short of my preferred average referral clicks of 1.8. Almost every week the past 2 weeks I have been trying to fine tune my strategy. Looking back, I think my strategies were not bad.

Yesterday, I was able to rent my new pack of 100 referrals. I started renting again last week but my commencement week started with a failure. I had jittery fingers last night when I prepared to rent my 100 refs. I am just happy that nerves did not get in the way of quickness. I play tennis and in my sport, if you are tense, you slow down a lot. :)

Now I have 729 referrals: 725 rented and 4 direct. Next week, I shall add another 100. Within the week, if I get lucky with the mini referral jackpots, then maybe I can add trickles of 10. hehe

Ciao!

Pure Luck?

I am not sure if this is pure luck or another brilliant strategy. My clicks reached a new high of 1103 today. With my old strategy, I hovered around the 900s but after getting zero there was a steady decline.

With 1103 clicks and 629 refs, my new average rose to 1.75 from 1.6+ This is very good.

I wonder what it would look like tomorrow...

I have changed strategies. It is an overhaul, actually. After being able to bring my clicks back up to 972 from 0, it has been steadily declining. Immediately prior to getting 0, I already have breached the 1000 level twice: 1014 and 1018. 972, though acceptable, was still 46 clicks short of my previous high! That situation was even made more strange because I made 1018 with only 604 refs. Now with 25 more at 629 refs, I got only 972, 960, 954, and finally 881 yesterday. How could that be?

It is now 11:28AM and I already got 514 clicks. It is not yet midday, therefore, I have a very good chance of breaching again the 1000s level if the clicking trend continues. I cannot say that my new strategy works or not. Maybe the planets just lined up well for me this time. :)

I am determined to stay at the 1000s level. I have a brand new strategy. This time, it is personal. :)

Possibly smart, stupid by default...

I got very UNlucky with renting these past 3 attempts. The button did turn green but somebody else's fingers are more dexterous than mine so I got a "Your chosen pack is no longer available" message each of those 3 times. I turned green. grr

And so I maundered around NeoBux, trying to simmer down my already brewing frustration when I met Mr. Mini Referral Jackpot. I said "What a pleasant surprise!". "What cave did you live in?", he answered.

(to be continued...)

>>>continuation...

I studied Mini Referral Jackpot for a while. Each ticket costs $.25. There would be 5 winning tickets and each one wins the ticket holder 10 referrals. Assuming that I bought 10 tickets and one of those wins 10 referrals, the total cost for the 10 referrals would be $2.5. Normal renting costs $2.2. That is a measly overhead of $0.3. With 10 tickets from a pool of 100, I have 10% chance of winning . There is even a possibility of having 2, 3, 4 or even 5 winning tickets. I mean, who knows?

So I bought 10 tickets. Actually, 11. Total cost was $2.75. And... fire the 21 gun salute please... I lost. :) I am still smiling, though. Smart math, but a stupid move given that I only have $2.78 in my main balance at that time.

But I like the kick! So, I shall play again.

NeoBux tends to get boring if you play it the usual way: Click, recycle, renew, rent. Click, recycle, renew, rent. Click, recycle, renew, rent. Boring, right? So, to make it more interesting, put in something new into the picture. That would be "Mini Referral Jackpot" for me. heh!

Sounds like a new trail for me in this NeoBux journey...

Slow grind back to the top...

I have seen it all. Clicks go down. Clicks go up. Clicks go ZERO! All except one are absolutely simple to achieve:

1. Do not click for a day, you do not get referral clicks the following day.
2. Do not recycle referrals, you are certain to get diminishing clicks every single day after.

Simple.

Making the clicks go up, is what NeoBux users are laboring hard, and in fact are brewing innovative strategies. That is where the fun is at!

My 'report card' before I went for a vacation showed an upward trend. After I got zero, my clicks shot up to the 900s again. As I post this, I am still 314 clicks short of making it back to the 1000s level. I have 7 hours to wait for that...
